Job summary

Mohammad Al-Habib Real Estate Investment Company seeks a Contract Engineer to manage contracts for construction projects, ensuring compliance with terms and mitigating risks. You will provide commercial and contractual support to project teams, and coordinate with managers, engineers, and finance for alignment of commercial matters.

The role demands reviewing contracts, handling claims, EOTs, and maintaining documentation to safeguard company interests and support project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, architecture, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
• 8+ years of proven experience as a Contract Engineer or in a contracts/commercial role in construction.
• Knowledge of contract law, FIDIC contracts or equivalent, and project management.
• Experience in contract administration for large-scale construction projects.
• Strong English communication; Arabic is an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office and contract management software/tools.
• Attention to detail and confidentiality in contract review.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and administer contracts, subcontracts, and related documentation.
• Analyze terms to identify risks, obligations, and opportunities.
• Assist in drafting tender documents, bids, and contract agreements.
• Support in contract negotiations with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with requirements, timelines, and cost control.
• Monitor performance, variations, claims, and disputes.
• Prepare and review claims, EOTs, and other contractual correspondences.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and finance teams.
