Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Contracts Director to join our PMO team in Saudi Arabia. You will act as the vital link between project delivery and financial viability, ensuring profitable, compliant programs in design-build environments.

Responsibilities include administering complex contracts (FIDIC/NEC), managing risk, negotiating variations, and providing strategic direction for commercial management to optimize value for the client and Parsons.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 20+ years of experience in commercial management across construction sectors.
• Extensive knowledge of cost & commercial management, procurement processes, and contract management principles.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale projects and delivering within budget and schedule.
• Familiarity with local regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
• Proficiency in project management software and financial tools.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and resolve disputes effectively.

Responsibilities

• Administer complex contracts (FIDIC, NEC, or bespoke), ensuring full adherence to contractual obligations and local laws.
• Identify contractual and financial risks early and develop strategies to protect Parsons' and Client's interests.
• Lead assessment, negotiation, and resolution of variations, change orders, and disputes.
• Act as commercial point of contact for Client to drive value optimization.
• Provide strategic direction and leadership for contract management activities.
• Develop and implement commercial & contract management strategies to achieve project goals.
• Review change requests and manage related documentation up to finalizing EI's and VO's.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms, including claims, variations, and disputes.
• Provide expert advice on contract interpretation and risk mitigation.
• Monitor project costs and implement cost control measures to prevent overruns.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and cost analyses for senior management.
• Develop relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure optimal performance.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks across the project lifecycle.
• Develop contingency plans for financial and contractual challenges.
• Provide training and guidance to team members on commercial matters.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align on commercial decisions.
• Represent the project in commercial discussions and negotiations.
• Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
• Prepare and present comprehensive commercial reports.

Education
