Job summary

Chalhoub Group is seeking an experienced accounting professional in Jeddah to reconcile accounts, support day-to-day financial activities, and oversee year-end close in alignment with international standards.

The role involves collaboration with HR on payroll, cooperation with external auditors, and involvement in ERP system enhancements to improve reporting and controls. Fluency in English and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile all employee and business unit accounts in accordance with policies and standards.
• Manage day-to-day accounting activities with minimal supervision to ensure continuity of work.
• Close escalated cases or issues raised by junior team members promptly.
• Oversee year-end closing process for assigned records and ensure compliance with standards.
• Provide technical accounting support and interpretations to business units.
• Coordinate and verify bank reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and help prevent fraud.
• Maintain accurate accounting and financial records for related units.
• Support cash management, banking, vendor relationships, and ERP system implementation.
• Collaborate with HR regarding monthly payroll payment arrangements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide required data for timely audit completion.
• Work with IT on system enhancements and improvements.
• Prepare monthly management reports, including budget vs. actual variance analyses.
• Produce studies and financial interpretations to aid decision making.
• Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable, inter-company transactions, and third-party invoicing monthly.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and oversee the year‑end closing process for assigned records.
• Provide technical accounting support and interpretations to business units.
• Coordinate and verify bank reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies and preventing fraud.
• Maintain accurate accounting and financial records for related business units.
• Support cash management, banking, vendor relationships, and ERP system implementation.
• Collaborate with HR regarding monthly payroll payment arrangements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, providing all required data and ensuring on‑time audit completion.
• Work with IT on system enhancements and improvements.
• Prepare monthly management reports, including budget vs. actual variance reports, and manage supporting schedules and narratives.
• Produce studies, reports, and financial interpretations to aid decision making.
• Maintain and reconcile accounts receivable, inter‑company transactions, and third‑party invoicing, ensuring statements are sent to customers monthly.
• Assist in cost analyses, rate studies, and internal control over cash collection and banking.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
