Job summary

Confidential Careers is seeking an experienced EHS Manager in Jeddah to oversee Security, Health, Environment & Safety across the company. You will investigate incidents, inspect facilities, and coordinate training to ensure compliance with local and international safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Industrial Engineering (or related field), Saudi nationality, and 2–3 years of relevant experience. Strong MS Office skills and bilingual communication are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Job Summary: Manage all activities related to Security, Health, and Environment & Safety across the company to ensure 100% security, health, environment & safety.

Responsibilities

• Investigate industrial accidents, injuries & occupational diseases causes & take preventive measures
• Report & review findings from accident investigations, facilities inspections & environmental testing
• Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, and industrial processes
• Inspect facilities, machinery & safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards to ensure safety regulations in compliance to local and international safety regulations
• Conduct & coordinate workers training in safety laws & regulations, hazardous condition monitoring & use of safety equipment
• Review employee safety programs to determine employees obtained information on health & safety
• Interview employers and employees about work environments and workplace incidents
• Review plans and specifications for construction of new machinery or equipment to determine whether all safety requirements have been met
• Compile, analyze & interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and accidents
• Interpret safety regulations for safety engineers, labor representatives and safety inspectors
• Recommend process safety methods to reduce employees' exposure to all types of hazards
• Conduct testing of air quality, noise, temperature & radiation levels to verify compliance with health & safety regulations. Write and revise safety regulations and codes
• Provide technical advice and guidance to organizations on how to handle health-related problems and make needed changes. Install safety devices on machinery, or direct device installation
• Consult medical professionals to assess health risks & develop ways to manage health issues
• Liase with fire, mutual aid societies & rescue teams so that emergency responses can be facilitated
• Evaluate adequacy of actions taken to correct health inspection violations
• Check floors of plants to ensure that they are strong enough to support heavy machinery
• Plan and conduct industrial hygiene research, design and build safety equipment

Qualification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or any degree from Industrial background
• Must be Saudi National

Skills

• Ability to efficiently & effectively plan & monitor tasks in a very organized & predictive manner
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, MSWord, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Arabic is Must

Experience

• 2 to 3 years of experience in similar role
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders.
