Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the project risk management strategy, framework, procedures, and governance requirements.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive risk registers covering cost, schedule, technical, construction, commercial, interface, and delivery risks.
  • Facilitate risk identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring, escalation, and closure across project teams.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Contractors, Planners, Cost Control teams, and other stakeholders to maintain consistent risk management objectives.
  • Conduct regular risk reviews and ensure mitigation actions remain current, practical, and assigned to accountable owners.
  • Perform Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis and Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis using recognized risk modelling methods and software.
  • Run Monte Carlo simulations and sensitivity analyses to identify key risk drivers and probability distributions.
  • Produce P50 and P80 schedule and cost outputs to support contingency planning, schedule float management, and management decision-making.
  • Use Primavera Risk Analysis, Safran, @RISK, or equivalent tools to evaluate project uncertainty.
  • Analyze the interaction between identified risks, schedule logic, project costs, contingency, trends, and change events.
  • Coordinate with Planning teams to ensure schedule risks are reflected in project forecasts and critical path assessments.
  • Work with Cost Control teams to align contingency requirements, cost exposure, trends, and change management with the current risk position.
  • Prepare detailed risk assessments, mitigation plans, exposure summaries, and executive-level recommendations.
  • Monitor risk trends and provide early warning where emerging threats could affect cost, schedule, scope, quality, safety, or contractual performance.
  • Develop the monthly Project Progress Report by integrating schedule, cost, HSE, quality, risk, and delivery information.
  • Prepare Client dashboards, management reports, Steering Committee packs, and executive presentations.
  • Establish clear reporting calendars, responsibilities, data requirements, validation processes, and submission deadlines.
  • Define and monitor project KPIs covering programme, cost, risk, quality, HSE, and overall performance.
  • Apply Earned Value Management principles to evaluate project performance and identify emerging variances.
  • Review Schedule Performance Index, Cost Performance Index, progress trends, and related performance indicators where applicable.
  • Investigate material variances and develop clear explanations, forecasts, and recommended mitigation measures.
  • Build and maintain automated reporting solutions using Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Primavera P6 exports, and other approved tools.
  • Reduce manual reporting effort by improving data integration, validation, visualization, and recurring report production.
  • Ensure dashboards and management reports present consistent data from approved project sources.
  • Establish a single, trusted reporting structure that avoids conflicting project performance information.
  • Prepare trend analysis showing movement in risk exposure, schedule performance, cost position, contingency, and key project indicators.
  • Support senior management and Client stakeholders by translating complex analytical results into concise decision-ready information.
  • Maintain accurate project risk documentation, assumptions, analysis outputs, risk review records, and supporting evidence.
  • Ensure risk and reporting activities comply with project procedures, contractual obligations, applicable standards, and recognized industry practices.
  • Provide training and practical guidance to project teams on risk identification, mitigation planning, quantitative analysis, and reporting requirements.
  • Promote stronger risk ownership across technical, commercial, planning, and construction teams.
  • Support project audits and governance reviews with risk registers, analysis outputs, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Provide risk and reporting input to change control, claims, recovery planning, and project forecasting.
  • Monitor risks associated with underpasses, tunnels, bridges, highways, grade separation, and construction interfaces in dense urban environments.
  • Assess risks related to traffic management, access, utilities, temporary works, construction sequencing, logistics, and stakeholder interfaces.
  • Coordinate with PMCM and Client teams to ensure risk reporting reflects current field conditions and project decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project controls, risk analytics, dashboard reporting, and management visibility.
Ideal Profile
  • The position requires a Bachelor 's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Candidates should have at least 12 years of overall professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a dedicated risk management, project reporting, or closely related project controls role on major infrastructure developments.
  • A proven background managing risk on large-scale construction projects is essential.
  • Experience involving underpasses, tunnels, bridges, highways, grade-separation works, or similarly complex infrastructure in dense urban environments is particularly valuable.
  • The successful candidate should demonstrate strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative risk management, Monte Carlo simulation, sensitivity analysis, Earned Value Management, contingency management, and integrated project reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, Primavera Risk Analysis, Power BI, RiskWatch, ARM, Microsoft Project, or equivalent platforms is expected.
  • Experience with Safran and @RISK is also highly relevant.
  • Strong written English and the ability to communicate complex risk and performance information clearly to senior Client stakeholders are essential.
  • PMP certification is preferred, while PMI-RMP or another recognized risk management qualification would provide a significant advantage.
  • A Master 's Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline is desirable.
