Job summary

Confidential Company is seeking an experienced Rigger on site in Saudi Arabia to perform standard lifting and rigging tasks in strict compliance with Aramco safety standards. You will inspect equipment, calculate loads, select slings, and ensure safe hitch configurations for routine lifts.

You will communicate clearly with crane operators using hand signals and radios, participate in daily safety briefings, and maintain rigging gear storage. Strong emphasis on zero-accident culture and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical/vocational training required.
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco GI standards is preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years as a certified rigger in oil & gas projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine lifting rigging and slinging on site per Saudi Aramco standards.
• Inspect all rigging tackle and hardware before each use and ensure integrity.
• Calculate load weights and select appropriate slings and hardware; determine hitch configurations.
• Secure and attach loads to ensure stability and prevent slippage or shift.
• Use standard hand signals and radio to coordinate with crane operators during hoisting and lowering.
• Maintain safety by applying stop-work authority when unsafe rigging practices are observed.
• Attend pre-task safety briefings, toolbox talks, and JSA reviews; coordinate with supervisors.

Job description

Performing standard routine lifting rigging and slinging operations on site in strict compliance with Saudi Aramco Safety Standards and project specifications Inspecting all assigned rigging tackle and hardware webbing slings wire rope slings shackles chain blocks lever hoists and eyebolts before every use to ensure color-coding certification and structural integrity Calculating basic load weights selecting appropriate slings and hardware and determining correct hitch configurations choker basket or vertical for standard non-critical loads Securing balancing and attaching loads correctly to ensure stable level lifting and prevent load slippage or shift during movement Providing standard hand signals and clear radio communication to crane operators during hoisting traveling and lowering operations Using taglines effectively to control load movement prevent swing and maintain safe clearance from adjacent structures or overhead hazards Participating in daily pre-task safety briefings Toolbox Talks TBT and reviewing Job Safety Analyses JSA prior to initiating lifting work Inspecting ground conditions mats and outrigger setup areas for mobile crane placement during routine lifts under supervision Maintaining cleaning and properly storing rigging gear in designated rigging lofts or storage areas after completion of daily tasks Exercising Stop Work Authority immediately whenever unsafe rigging practices equipment defects or adverse weather conditions are observed Coordinating closely with Rigger Level 1 2 supervisors Crane Operators and Site Safety Officers to maintain smooth and accident-free site operations

Education:

High School Diploma, Technical School Certificate, or vocational trade background.

Certifications:

Valid Saudi Aramco Rigger Level 3 Approval Card / Certification (Mandatory).Third-party certified Rigger Level 3 card from an Aramco-approved testing agency.

Experience:

Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a certified Rigger in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Cross-Country Pipeline construction projects in Saudi Arabia.

Skills and CharacteristicsFully

Fully conversant with Saudi Aramco General Instruction requirements (GI 7.027, GI 7.028) regarding standard rigging equipment and safe lifting procedures.Solid practical understanding of basic load weight estimation, sling capacity rating charts, and safe working load (SWL) limits.Familiarity with standard hand signals for crane and hoisting operations as per international (ASME/OSHA) and Aramco standards.Strong safety awareness and commitment to zero-accident policies during daily site handling operations.Good communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written directions from Rigging Supervisors and HSE personnel.Physical capability and stamina to handle heavy rigging hardware and work outdoors in harsh field conditions.Teamwork and collaborating abilities to work safely alongside crane operators, pipefitters, and construction crews.
