Job summary

Perle is seeking a freelance transcriptionist fluent in Sinhalese for a remote role. You will transcribe 2-speaker audio with speaker labels and timestamps, delivering clean, accurate transcripts on a daily target basis.

Requirements include native Sinhalese fluency, strong writing and grammar, independent work ability, and reliable internet access. This contract position is remote and open to contributors worldwide, with rolling onboarding and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Sinhalese (spoken and written).
• Ability to work independently and meet daily output targets.
• Access to a computer with stable internet connection.
• Willingness to complete a qualification test.

Responsibilities

• Listen to 2-speaker audio recordings in Sinhalese.
• Type out what each speaker says, accurately and in full.
• Label speaker turns as Speaker 1 or Speaker 2 and add timestamps (HH:MM:SS).
• Ensure transcripts are sequential with no gaps.
