Fluor Corp in Ras Al-Khair, Saudi Arabia, invites applications for a Quality Lead to oversee QA/QC across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup phases on Mining & Metals projects.

The ideal candidate has 11+ years of quality management experience in mining and metals, a related engineering degree, and certifications such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (CQE preferred). This role demands leadership and a track record of delivering right-first-time results.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of experience in Quality Management within mining and metals projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, metallurgical, mining, industrial, or related engineering discipline.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification.
• CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or equivalent certification preferred.
• FEED Quality Management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all QA/QC activities for Mining & Metals projects across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup.
• Develop and implement Project Quality Management Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures aligned with client and project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with international standards, project specifications, and industry best practices for mining, processing, smelting, and refining facilities.
• Manage quality oversight for process plants, concentrators, beneficiation facilities, material handling systems, and related infrastructure.
• Lead supplier and contractor quality audits, inspections, and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
• Oversee NCR management, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate quality activities related to welding, NDT, mechanical equipment, piping, civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
• Interface with clients, EPC/EPCM teams, consultants, and regulatory authorities on all quality-related matters.
• Monitor quality KPIs and prepare management reports to drive project performance and risk mitigation.
• Lead quality teams and promote a culture of quality excellence, safety, and right-first-time execution across Mining & Metals projects.

Requirements/Qualification:

• 11+ years of experience in Quality Management within

• Experience in KSA/GCC projects, preferably with Ma'aden or major international mining operators.
