The role holder is responsible for managing the accounting function within the Otis ME entities with guidance from the management, for ensuring the effective management and implementation of accounting policies as per approved guidelines. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.
Lead and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements
Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments
Analyze variances (actual vs budget/forecast/prior periods)
Oversee general ledger activities and ensure data integrity
Review reconciliations (balance sheet accounts, intercompany, etc.)
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP)
Ensure adherence to internal controls and corporate policies
Support audits (internal and external) with required documentation
Maintain strong governance over financial reporting processes
Lead, mentor, and develop the R2R team
Allocate work, monitor performance, and ensure SLA adherence
Drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency
Drive standardization and best practices across R2R processes
Participate in ERP/system implementations or enhancements
Collaborate with FP&A, AP, AR, Tax, and business units
Act as key point of contact for finance leadership
Provide insights and financial analysis to support decision-making
Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
Support group consolidation activities where applicable
