Job summary

SGS is seeking an experienced QC Inspector for offshore and onshore oil and gas projects in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on organizing and executing inspections, ensuring compliance with the Inspection Test Plan, and producing quality records.

Offshore exposure and ARAMCO approval in electrical/instrumentation are mandatory. The candidate will verify test procedures, supervise documentation, and ensure conformity with codes and standards, including electrical, mechanical and safety aspects on

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in Oil and Gas construction sector.
• Offshore experience mandatory.
• Familiar with applicable engineering standards and codes for QC surveillance.

Responsibilities

• Organize and execute inspection jobs with professionalism.
• Perform inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation on site.
• Issue Quality Records and non-conformance reports to QC Supervisor when needed.
• Verify conformity with the Quality Control Plan and manage test/inspection documentation.
• Ensure correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan.
• Verify processes and workers’ qualifications for special processes.
• Inspect power transformers, switchgear, batteries, outlets, lighting, RTUs and instruments.
• Perform visual inspections and dimensional tests, check ratings and materials for connections.

Job Description

• Organize and execute inspection jobs with professionalism.
• Execute the specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site.
• Issue the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, write and send to QC Supervisor non-conformances reports.
• Check conformity with the Quality Control Plan, obtain the relevant documentation, check procedures and equipment to be used in tests, controls, and inspections, manage documents certifying tests, controls and inspections.
• Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan.
• Verify special processes and the relevant workers’ qualifications.
• Check power transformers, switchboard, accumulator battery, sockets outlet, lighting system, Remote terminal unit, instruments, cables, tunings etc.
• Perform visual inspections, dimensional test, check rating and material for connection.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in Oil and Gas construction sector
• Mandatory Offshore Experience.
• ARAMCO Approval in Electrical & Instrumentation Mandatory ( CBT )
• Familiar with applicable engineering standards and codes that will be used during QC surveillance activities in offshore installation/ Construction/ cable lay / EPC projects.
