Job summary

Met T&S Ltd. is looking for a Quality Control Inspector to ensure the implementation of quality procedures in subcontracted areas for an Oil & Gas project in the Riyadh Region. This role demands at least 10 years of experience, specifically in large EPC projects.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure implementation of Quality/HSE procedures for subcontractors.
• Support checking Supplier’s materials prior to work.
• Address subcontractor activities for discipline adherence.
• Check manpower and equipment compliance with quality standards.
• Inform Site Engineer of design errors.
• Draft non-conformity reports for resolution.
• Report to Construction Quality Manager regarding inspections.

• Quality ControlInspector ensures the implementation of all the quality procedures andstandards in the appointed area /subcontractor.
• Responsible forperforming inspections on subcontractor’s activities assuring theconformity to site inspection plans and applicable engineering.

Duties andresponsibilities

• To ensure theimplementation of all the Quality/HSE procedures and standards for theareas or activities (subcontractors) of responsibilities, together withthe other members of Quality/HSE teams.
• To support theConstruction Material Controller in checking the Supplier’s materialprior to the start of works.
• To addressSubcontractor activities for his/her own discipline, ensuring that PlantConstruction works are performed according to the applicable engineeringspecification, site procedures and Site Inspection Plan according toQuality & Safety procedures, as well as according to the terms andconditions of the subcontract.
• To check that themanpower employed by the Subcontractor continuously respect therequirements of applicable procedures and the Quality level fixed by thesame.
• To check that theequipment employed by the Subcontractor are adequate and calibrated asrequired according to applicable procedures and to the Quality levelfixed by the same.
• To check that theworks performed by the Subcontractor conform to the applicabledocuments, Safety regulations, and to the Quality level fixed by thesame, in coordination with the other members of Quality/HSE teams.
• To inform the SiteEngineer to make the necessary changes when detects any design errors.
• To promote the non-conformity draft and informs the Construction Quality Manager,supporting him/her in the nonconformity resolution.
• Keeping theConstruction Quality Manager informed, receive the Request of Inspectionfrom Subcontractors and confirm to proceed with the inspection informingthe Client, assume the responsibility in case of Client’s (motivated)rejection of the inspection taking care of remedial action and avoidingthe repetition of similar case in future.
• The QCI operativelyreports to the Construction Quality Manager.

• UniversityDegree/Diploma in Civil Engineering.

Experience

• At least 10 years ofRelevant experience in construction of large Oil & Gas plants/ EPCprojects.
