Job summary

Baja Broadband in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Quality Control Coffee professional to ensure consistent coffee quality across roasting, grinding, blending, and packaging. The role includes monitoring process controls, conducting cupping, and ensuring adherence to SFDA, ISO 22000, GMP, and Halal standards.

The ideal candidate may be a fresh graduate or have 1–2 years in food QA, with strong attention to detail and ability to document results and act on deviations. Full-time position in Sudair.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in food Technology, Coffee Science, or a related field.
• HACCP, GMP, or ISO 22000 certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor critical coffee processing steps (roasting, grinding, blending, packaging) for quality and safety.
• Conduct in-line inspections, moisture/weight checks, roast profile validation, and cupping.
• Collect samples for cupping, lab testing, or external analysis.
• Report deviations and ensure containment or corrective action.
• Document quality checks, cupping results, sampling, deviations, and corrective actions.
• Verify operators follow SOPs and roasting/grinding/packaging parameters.
• Coordinate with production, roasting, sanitation, and QA teams to resolve issues.
• Support audits through documentation review and shop floor readiness.

About the Role:

The Quality Control Coffee will be responsible to ensure consistent quality of coffee products throughout all production stages, including sorting, roasting, grinding, blending, flavoring, and packaging. The role supports continuous monitoring of coffee process control points, evaluates in-process and finished product quality through inspection and cupping, and ensures adherence to specifications and standards in alignment with SFDA, ISO 22000, GMP, and Halal regulations. The QC Coffee ensures that deviations in roast profile, moisture, or product quality are immediately identified, corrected, and reported.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor critical coffee processing steps (roasting, grinding, blending, packaging) for compliance with product quality and food safety specifications.
• Conduct in-line inspections, moisture and weight checks, roast profile validation, and product attribute verification (aroma, color, grind size, taste).
• Collect coffee samples from different stages for cupping, internal lab testing, or external analysis.
• Report and elevate process deviations or nonconformities and ensure immediate containment or corrective action.
• Ensure accurate and complete documentation of quality checks, cupping results, sampling, deviations, and corrective actions.
• Verify that operators follow established SOPs and roasting, grinding, and packaging parameters.
• Coordinate with production, roasting, sanitation, and QA teams to resolve process issues.
• Support internal and external audits through documentation review and shop floor readiness

Experience:

• fresh graduate or 1-2 years of experience in Quality Control within the food manufacturing industry.
• Experience in nuts, seeds, or coffee processing is an advantage.
