Responsibilities

• Evaluate Technician and Inspector performance; manage vendor performance with third-party firms.
• Manage QC/QA projects by analyzing data and recommending actions; prepare quality control plans.
• Oversee installation quality; workmanship per specs; control documents and check-sheet sign-offs.
• Supervise Internal Audit per PQP; promote OSHA/MSHA safety compliance.
• Control quality procedures on site; ensure work follows approved method statements and ITP.
• Coordinate with consultant and site in-charge on quality issues and NCR closures.
• Oversee method statements with risk assessments and ITP/Checklist per project specs.

Job description

This position is accountable for the implementation and maintenance of Region, Area or a Large Project Quality Management system including; QC Plan, laboratory accreditation, QC/QA project management and supporting technical staff. This position requires consistent exercise of discretion and judgment in analyzing and interpreting information before making reasoned recommendations.

• Evaluate Technician and Inspector performance. Manage vendor performance including services provided by third-party engineering firms.
• Manage QC/QA projects by analyzing project data and communicating recommended courses of action. Advice projects by interpreting internal and owner/agency requirements and preparing quality control plans
• Implementation and monitoring of the following: overall responsibility of the installation; overall workmanship in line with associated spec and codes; control of all documents; confirm all relevant check sheets etc. are signed and maintained;
• Supervise Internal Audit at the site as scheduled in the Project Quality Plan, PQP. Participate in and promote company’s safety procedures to promote a safe working environment including compliance with OSHA and MSHA rules and regulations.
• Control inspection and checking for all quality related procedures in the site and ensures activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan
• Manage communication with the consultant’s representative and Site in-charge for inspection and meeting about quality problems including the closure of Non-Compliance Report
• Oversee method statement for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environmental analysis and Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on specifications of the project.
