Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience as a QC Inspector on mechanical equipment installation projects.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; QC/inspection certification preferred.
• Experience reading mechanical drawings and vendor data.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on mechanical equipment installation works (pumps, vessels, packages, structural skids).
• Verify equipment installation, alignment, and grouting against approved drawings and vendor specifications.
• Witness mechanical running tests, alignment checks, and equipment box-up activities per the ITP.
• Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports as required.
• Coordinate hold points and inspections with client/third-party inspectors.
• Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.

Job description

SECTION I: Job Summary

The QC Inspector – Mechanical performs inspection and testing of mechanical equipment installation activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.

SECTION II: Job Analysis

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on mechanical equipment installation works (pumps, vessels, packages, structural skids).
• Verify equipment installation, alignment, and grouting against approved drawings and vendor specifications.
• Witness mechanical running tests, alignment checks, and equipment box-up activities per the ITP.
• Verify materials and equipment against material certificates, vendor data, and specifications.
• Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports as required.
• Coordinate hold points and inspections with client/third-party inspectors.
• Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
• Verify calibration status of measuring and test equipment used on site.
• Support punch-list generation and verification of closure for mechanical works.
• Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and mechanical equipment standards.
• Support preparation of quality documentation for mechanical handover dossiers.
