Job summary

Advanced Metals Company for Mining (AMCO) in Dammam seeks a QA/QC Technician to perform planned QC/inspection activities for workshop jobs and calibrate measuring and testing instruments at scheduled intervals.

You will coordinate with workshop foremen, witness pressure tests, prepare QC reports, raise NCRs, maintain calibration status tags, and ensure all QC activities align with the Documentation & Final Inspection check sheet.

Qualifications

• Experience in QC/inspection for workshop jobs.
• Ability to calibrate measuring instruments in-house.
• Prepare QC reports and maintain calibration status.
• Raise NCRs and liaise with QC Manager.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with workshop foremen to inspect workshop job orders and prepare stage inspection reports.
• Witness pressure tests conducted by production supervisors.
• Perform final inspection and release of workshop job orders after QC checks.
• Calibrate in-house measuring instruments and pressure gauges.
• Maintain calibration status tags on instruments.
• Notify QC Manager about calibration needs for external calibration.
• Raise NCRs for discrepant items at each stage.
• Contribute to achieving QA/QC department quality objectives.
• Prepare QC reports for completed job orders.
• Maintain current calibration status for in-house instruments.

Role Purpose

To perform all planned QC/Inspection activities for workshop jobs and prepare necessary QC reports. To perform in-house calibration of measuring / testing instruments at planned intervals.

Job Accountabilities & Activities

• Coordinate with workshop Foremen and carry out necessary inspection /QC checks of workshop job orders and prepare necessary stage inspection reports.
• Witness pressure tests carried out by the production supervisors for the workshop jobs.
• Be responsible for the final inspection and release of workshop job orders after ensuring all QC activities are completed as per the Documentation & Final Inspection check sheet.
• Perform in-house calibration of linear measuring instruments and calibration of in-house pressure gauges.
• Be responsible to keep the calibration status current and maintain the physical calibration status control tags on the instruments.
• Notify QC Manager the calibration status of measuring or testing instruments to be calibrated externally and keep current as per planned frequencies.
• Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for the discrepant items at each stage of inspection and follow up with QC Manager for their close out.
• Perform all necessary activities to achieve Quality objectives set for the QA/QC Dept.
• Preparation of QC reports for completed job orders.
• Current Calibration status maintained for in-house measuring/testing instruments.
