Job summary

NOV is hiring a Quality Inspector in Saudi Arabia to support daily inspection and reporting, ensuring materials and equipment meet drawings and quality standards. You will handle NDT, calibration control, NCR reporting, audits, and final documentation in line with QMS and HSE requirements.

The role involves working with the shop team on traceability and inspections, reviewing supplier reports, and maintaining meticulous records in the Rig Docs system.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of quality inspection principles and techniques.
• Familiarity with ITP/QP, Router, and drawings.
• ASNT Level II certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day inspection and reporting activities.
• Work in line with ARM QMS and HSE procedures and policies.
• Support workshop foreman in monitoring and traceability.
• Assist QC manager in daily QC activities.
• Perform incoming inspection for materials and parts.
• Review and approve supplier inspection reports.
• Inspect per ITP/QP, Router, drawings and quality instructions.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections per job cards.
• Carry out NDT (MPI, LPI) and prepare NDT reports.
• Monitor third-party NDT activities and review reports.
• Upload documents to DMS (Rig Docs).
• Maintain calibration of measurement instruments.
• Log NCR/CAR/PAR entries into the system.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Stay updated on government, Saudi Aramco and industry codes.
• Prepare and review Final Data book.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

Job Description

To hire a Quality Inspector who will support daily quality inspection and reporting activities, ensure materials and equipment meet required drawings, specifications, and quality standards, and maintain proper inspection records and traceability. The role will also support NDT activities, calibration control, NCR reporting, audits, final documentation, and compliance with company QMS, HSE, Saudi Aramco, and applicable industry requirements.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day inspection and reporting activities.
• Work in accordance with ARM QMS and HSE procedures& policies.
• Supporting workshop foreman in monitoring, identification, and traceability process.
• Assisting QC manager/supervisor in day-to-day QC activities
• Perform timely incoming inspection (materials, steel structures, capital equipment, mechanical parts).
• Review and approval of supplier inspection report
• Perform timely quality inspection in accordance with Inspection and Test Plan (ITP)/QP, Router, drawings, and quality instructions in the shops.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspection as per Router/ Job Card, Drawing and Specs.
• Perform NDT including MPI, LPI, and other visual methods. Preparation of NDT reports and record keeping.
• Monitor the third-party NDT activities and review the reports.
• Upload all documents in DMS (Rig Docs) in relevant cases.
• Monitoring and maintaining the measurement instrument/ equipment calibration up to date.
• Register NCR, CAR/ PAR entry into System.
• Involvement in Internal and External audits.
• Maintain a working knowledge of government, Saudi Aramco and industrial quality codes and standards.
• Preparation and review of Final Data book
• Perform another work-related task as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized university or technology institute with a bachelor’s degree or Diploma (4 years regular) in Mechanical / Metallurgy Engineering or equivalent discipline.
• ASNT Level II valid Certification for MT & LPI is must
• ASNT Level II valid Certification for RT & UT is preferrable.
• CSWIP & BGAS certification is plus.
