Job summary

DAR AL RIYADH in Medina, Saudi Arabia, seeks a senior QA/QC engineer to oversee quality control on construction projects.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and international standards such as ASTM and ISO 9001, and the ability to read technical drawings and test reports. On-site work with rigorous documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality control in construction.
• Solid knowledge of construction techniques, materials, codes, and QA standards.
• Familiarity with international standards such as ASTM, ACI, BS, ISO 9001, etc.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and test reports.
• Strong documentation, observation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and random inspections of site activities, materials and installations for compliance with drawings, specs and codes.
• Review and verify ITPs, method statements and material submittals.
• Ensure construction work meets required quality standards, specs and contractual obligations.
• Monitor and document quality performance of contractors and subcontractors.
• Issue NCRs and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain accurate records of all inspections, test results and quality documentation.
• Assist in material receiving inspections to confirm compliance with submittals and specs.
• Participate in regular site audits and support internal and external quality assessments.
• Coordinate with QA/QC engineers, site engineers and construction supervisors to resolve quality issues.
• Prepare daily QC inspection reports and update the QC tracking system.
