Job summary

BEC Arabia is seeking a QA/QC - Electrical Engineer to join our construction team in Makkah. You will develop and implement QA/QC plans, conduct inspections, and review electrical design documents to ensure top quality and regulatory compliance on landmark projects.

You will collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and contractors, ensuring testing and commissioning meet approved procedures while maintaining thorough documentation and NCR tracking.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years in QA/QC in construction or engineering with emphasis on electrical systems.
  • SCE registration is mandatory.
  • Proven knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
  • Familiarity with SBC and related regulations.
  • Proficiency in English communication.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement QA/QC plans and procedures for electrical systems in compliance with project specs and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical installations to ensure adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Review and approve electrical design documents, material submittals, and shop drawings for compliance with project requirements.
  • Monitor construction activities to identify and resolve quality issues in real-time, minimizing schedule impact.
  • Coordinate with project managers, consultants and contractors to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare detailed QA/QC reports, including NCRs, and track their resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and SBC standards.
  • Verify electrical testing and commissioning activities are performed per approved procedures and standards.
  • Maintain documentation of quality control activities including inspection records and certifications.
  • Support training of site teams on QA/QC best practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure electrical materials meet quality specs.
