Job summary

BEC Arabia is seeking a QA/QC - Architectural Engineer to join our Riyadh construction team. You will develop and implement QA/QC plans, conduct site inspections, and ensure architectural works meet SBC, LEED, and Mostadam standards.

You will coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and contractors to resolve quality issues and maintain client satisfaction. With 7+ years in QA/QC for architecture, you will review drawings, submittals, and method statements while mentoring site teams and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Architecture or related field with 7+ years QA/QC experience in construction, focusing on architectural works.
  • SCE registration or eligibility.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural design/review tools.
  • Strong knowledge of SBC, LEED, and Mostadam.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with GOSI and Nitaqat compliance.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement QA/QC plans and procedures for architectural works in compliance with SBC and international standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of materials, workmanship, and completed works to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Coordinate with project teams to resolve quality-related issues and provide technical guidance on architectural matters.
  • Monitor and document QA/QC activities, including inspection reports and NCRs and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with LEED, Mostadam, and other sustainability standards where applicable.
  • Review and approve architectural shop drawings, submittals, and method statements for quality compliance.
  • Perform root cause analysis for quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with clients and third-party inspectors to address quality concerns and ensure satisfaction.
  • Train and mentor site teams on QA/QC best practices and standards.
  • Maintain and update QA/QC documentation and records for audits and project handovers.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards such as OSHA, NEBOSH, and ISO 45001.
  • Support project closeout by verifying that all architectural works meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
