Job summary

Penspen Ltd in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced QA/QC engineer to ensure the effective implementation of the project Quality Management System (QMS) across EPC phases. You will review and approve contractor quality plans, ITPs, and procedures to meet project specifications.

The role requires coordinating NCRs, conducting audits, interfacing with client representatives, and supporting turnover and documentation for mechanical completion. Based in Alkhafji, Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering or equivalent QA/QC credential.
• 10+ years coordinating QA/QC for Oil & Gas/Petrochemical projects (5+ years QA/QC).
• 14+ years with 7+ years QA/QC experience in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical (alternate).

Responsibilities

• Ensure the QMS is implemented across engineering, procurement and construction.
• Review and approve EPC contractor quality plans, ITPs and procedures.
• Monitor inspections, testing and documentation for compliance with specs and ISO 9001.
• Coordinate NCRs, corrective actions and lessons learned.
• Interface with client representatives on quality matters and ensure timely close-out.
• Support turnover and documentation for mechanical completion.

Job Description

Ensure the effective implementation of the project Quality Management System (QMS) across engineering, procurement, and construction phases. Review and approve EPC contractor quality plans, ITPs, and procedures. Monitor inspection, testing, and documentation for compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards. Conduct surveillance and audits to verify EPC quality performance and adherence to ISO 9001 requirements. Coordinate NCRs, corrective actions, and lessons learned. Interface with client representatives for quality-related matters and ensure timely close-out of quality issues. Support turnover and documentation compilation for mechanical completion.

Required Experience Criteria in years

Alternative (I): Ten (10) years of experience in coordinating QA/QC engineering and construction activities of which at least five (5) years in performing project quality control/quality assurance activities for Oil and Gas/ Petrochemical projects. Alternative (II): Fourteen (14) years of experience in coordinating QA/QC engineering and construction activities of which at least Seven (7) years in performing project quality control/quality assurance activities for Oil and Gas/ Petrochemical projects.

Minimum Education Qualification Required

Alternative (I): Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Alternative (II): Diploma or equivalent with a certificate from a recognized agency in QA/QC.

The job location will be based on Alkhafji , Saudi Arabia.
