Job summary

SLS The Red Sea is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead the hotel’s procurement activities, ensuring quality, value and operational excellence. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, oversee purchasing, and develop sourcing strategies to support hotel needs while maintaining cost control.

Collaborate with Finance and operations, forecast needs with department heads, source reliable suppliers, and drive procurement initiatives aligned with luxury hospitality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of purchasing or procurement experience in luxury hospitality.
• 2+ years in a managerial role leading a team.
• Strong supplier sourcing, contract negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Understanding of hotel purchasing, inventory management, and procurement processes.
• Proficient in procurement systems such as FutureLog, Adaco or similar platforms.
• Strong English communication skills and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage purchasing and procurement activities in line with budget.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to support operations and finance.
• Forecast purchasing needs with department heads and ensure timely availability.
• Source, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers meeting quality standards.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and commercial agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance across quality, pricing, delivery and compliance.
• Review and manage purchase orders, contracts and vendor documentation.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
• Maintain appropriate inventory and purchasing levels based on forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.
• Identify and manage supply chain risks and develop contingency plans.
• Lead and develop the Purchasing team and collaborate across departments.
