Job summary

FAENA The Red Sea is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement of goods and services, optimize quality, cost, and timing, and manage supplier relationships. The role collaborates with internal departments to maintain inventory efficiency and drive cost savings.

The ideal candidate has 3–7+ years in purchasing or procurement, a solid understanding of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle NetSuite, and strong negotiation and Excel analytics skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• Certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CIPS) is an advantage.
• 3–7+ years in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle NetSuite, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for analysis, reporting, and cost tracking.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to support operations and cost efficiency.
• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with vendors.
• Issue and manage purchase orders within budgets and requirements.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of goods and services.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain vendor relationships.
• Coordinate with finance, stores, and operations to identify needs.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Control purchasing costs and identify savings opportunities.
• Review and approve purchase requests and quotations.
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and contracts.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
• Resolve issues related to delays, damages, or discrepancies.
• Conduct market research on pricing and supplier options.
• Ensure quality standards for all purchases.
