Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care that meets or exceeds the standards set by the JCIA.
  • Provide and run outpatient clinics in his/her name and responsibility.
  • Perform diagnostic or therapeutic interventions for which he/she has been granted specific privileges.
  • Provide consultations to physicians in other specialties.
  • Participate in psychiatry on-call rotations.
  • Actively participate in educational programs of the hospital.
  • Participate in approved clinical research activities.
  • Supervise the clinical performance of subordinates.

Consultant Addiction Psychiatry

We are seeking a Consultant in Addiction Psychiatry to join our team at a reputable HealthCare Medical City in Jeddah, under the Government of Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications
  • Graduated from an accredited medical school.
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.
  • Completed a psychiatry residency program.
  • At least one year of post‑psychiatry experience in an addiction subspecialty, or three years in an assistant to associate consultant level.
  • Preferable certification by a relevant North American or Western‑equivalent Specialty Board.
Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care that meets or exceeds the standards set by the JCIA.
  • Provide and run outpatient clinics in his/her name and responsibility.
  • Perform diagnostic or therapeutic interventions for which he/she has been granted specific privileges based on his/her training, experience and skills.
  • Provide consultations to physicians in other specialties or subspecialties.
  • Participate in psychiatry on‑call rotations, in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Section and the Department of Medicine.
  • Actively participate in the educational programs of the hospital, particularly the Residency/Fellowship training program.
  • Participate in approved clinical research activities.
  • Actively participate in Quality Improvement activities.Provide close supervision of the clinical performance and activity of subordinates, especially those in training.
Committee & Other Duties
  • Serve in committees as appointed by the Head of the Section, the Chairman of Medicine or the Executive Director, Saudi Arabian Ministry Hospital‑Jeddah.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Head of Section, the Chairman of Medicine or the Executive Director, Saudi Arabian Ministry Hospital‑Jeddah.
