Job summary

WSP USA in Saudi Arabia seeks an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in construction supervision of roads, bridges, highways and tunnels. Lead the on-site supervision team, oversee day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with contract documents and standards, and coordinate with clients, contractors, subconsultants and authorities to deliver projects on time and within budget.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 20 years of experience in construction supervision of roads, bridges, highways and tunnels.
• At least 5 years of experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC in a consultancy role.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects per Saudi standards (MOT, Aramco, or other authorities).
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC or similar contract frameworks.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the construction supervision team for major infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, highways, and tunnels.
• Manage day-to-day project operations, ensuring compliance with contract documents, specifications, quality standards, and local regulations.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, subconsultants, and government authorities to resolve technical and contractual issues.
• Prepare and manage project schedules, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Oversee QA/QC and HSE compliance on-site.
• Review and approve project documentation such as method statements, shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals.
• Monitor contractor performance, track delays or variations, and support change orders and claims.
• Lead progress meetings and provide regular reporting to senior management and the client.
• Ensure milestones and deliverables are met within budget and on schedule.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering major transportation projects within the construction consultancy sector in Saudi Arabia or the Gulf region. This role requires effective leadership, technical oversight, contract administration, and stakeholder coordination to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality project delivery.
