Job summary

WSP in Saudi Arabia seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead construction supervision of major infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, highways and tunnels. The role requires oversight of contracts, QA/QC, HSE, and stakeholder coordination with clients, contractors, and authorities.

The ideal candidate has 20+ years in infrastructure supervision, 5+ years in the GCC, and familiarity with Saudi standards and FIDIC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in construction supervision of roads, bridges, highways, and tunnels.
• At least 5 years in Saudi Arabia or GCC in a consultancy role.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale infrastructure projects per Saudi standards (MOT, Aramco, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC or similar contract frameworks.
• PMP certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the construction supervision team for major infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, highways, and tunnels.
• Manage day-to-day project operations, ensuring compliance with contract documents, specifications, quality standards, and local regulations.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, subconsultants, and government authorities to resolve technical and contractual issues.
• Prepare and manage project schedules, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Oversee QA/QC and HSE compliance on-site.
• Review and approve project documentation such as method statements, shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals.
• Monitor contractor performance, track delays or variations, and support change orders and claims.
• Lead progress meetings and provide regular reporting to senior management and the client.
• Ensure milestones and deliverables are met within budget and on schedule.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering major transportation projects within the construction consultancy sector in Saudi Arabia or the Gulf region. This role requires effective leadership, technical oversight, contract administration, and stakeholder coordination to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality project delivery.

• Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
