Job summary

Arab Invest seeks a Private Market Investment Manager to drive the private markets strategy, sourcing, evaluating, and leading end-to-end transactions, including direct investments, co-investments, and fund opportunities.

You will mentor junior investment professionals and collaborate with the Director of Private Markets to oversee portfolio value creation and exit planning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7-9 years of experience in private equity, private credit, investment banking, or corporate development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
• MBA, CFA, CAIA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Source and screen direct and funds investment opportunities.
• Lead due diligence processes end-to-end.
• Develop investment thesis, structure transactions and negotiate terms.
• Prepare investment memoranda and present recommendations to internal committees.
• Manage relationships with external investment partners, co-investors, advisors and market participants.
• Oversee portfolio management activities including governance participation and value creation initiatives.
• Contribute to exit planning for portfolio companies.
• Mentor and review the work of analysts and senior analysts.

About the Role

As a Private Market Investment Manager, you will actively support the implementation of the Arab Invest private market investment strategy, by sourcing, evaluating, leading the end-to-end execution process of selected transactions across direct and co-investments, private equity funds and private credit funds and other alternative investments asset class. You will also support portfolio companies value creation initiatives and mentor junior investment professionals.

Private Market Investment Manager reports to the Director of Private Markets.

Responsibilities

• Keep abreast with the latest market and macro-economic developments, and evolution of the private equity/ private credit industry in the Arab World and globally
• Source and screen direct and funds investment opportunities
• Lead financial, commercial, and valuation analysis for complex transactions
• Lead due diligence processes end-to-end
• Develop investment thesis, structure transactions and negotiate transaction terms and definitive documentation
• Prepare high-quality investment memoranda and present recommendations to internal committees
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders including investment partners, co-investors, advisors and market participants
• Oversee portfolio management activities including monitoring financial performance, governance participation, and value creation initiatives
• Support portfolio companies through strategic oversight and board-level engagement where applicable
• Contribute to exit planning for portfolio companies
• Mentor and review the work of analysts and senior analysts, ensuring analytical rigor and professional development
• Contribute to departmental policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7-9 years of experience in private equity, private credit, investment banking, or corporate development
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline
• MBA, CFA, CAIA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred
