Job summary

KBR Technical Services in Saudi Arabia seeks a Principal Fire Protection Engineer (Certified NFPA) to lead fire protection design for upstream and petrochemical facilities. You will develop fire water networks, do calculations, and prepare P&IDs and data sheets, contributing to safety studies and 3-D mapping.

The role requires 15+ years in oil & gas or infrastructure, with strong English communication and presentation skills. Knowledge of NFPA and Saudi codes is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of relevant engineering experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical facilities.
• Bachelor of Science in Chemical/Mechanical/Fire Engineering or related field.
• Proficient in English with strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design fire water networks and foam water systems, and specify fire water pumps and tanks.
• Prepare P&ID, equipment data sheets, and specifications for fire protection.
• Perform hydraulic and transient analyses for fire water and foam systems.
• Develop Fire & Gas philosophy, detection layouts, and 3-D mapping studies.
• Prepare emergency escape routes and safety sign layouts.
• Review vendor data, participate in PHA/HAZID/HAZOP studies and bid evaluations.
