Job summary

KBR in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Principal Fire Protection Engineer (Certified NFPA) with extensive experience in fire protection and fire & gas detection for medium to large oil, gas, and infrastructure projects. You will lead design activities from conceptual through detailed design stages, ensuring compliance with NFPA standards and safety objectives.

The role requires a minimum of 15 years in engineering, a relevant Bachelor’s degree, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant engineering experience in Oil & Gas, hydrocarbons or infrastructure.
• Bachelor degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Fire Engineering or related field.
• Proficient in English, strong communication skills, and familiarity with NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop fire water and foam water design basis reports and PIDs for protection systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and 3D mapping studies as part of fire protection design.
• Prepare Fire & Gas philosophy, detection layouts, and safety equipment data sheets.
• Review safety studies and participate in risk assessments and design reviews.
