Job summary

Abdulla Fouad Group in Saudi Arabia seeks a Pre-Sales Engineer to act as the technical authority for compute, virtualization and HCI. You will craft sizing models, author RFP responses, and drive hands-on PoCs for clients.

You will collaborate with VMware, Nutanix, Dell, Cisco and Huawei to assure compliant designs, accurate BOQs, and compelling technical proposals. Strong Arabic language skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.
• 3+ years of technical experience in enterprise compute and virtualization.
• 2+ years in a dedicated Pre-Sales role at a System Integrator.
• Arabic language proficiency required (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Compute & HCI Architecture: Architect enterprise server configurations, rack/blade systems, and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) nodes.
• Virtualization & Cloud Sizing: Design enterprise virtualization stacks, micro-segmentation, management clusters, and hybrid cloud integration platforms.
• RFP Technical Authoring: Analyze enterprise compute and virtualization RFPs/RFQs. Author technical proposal narratives, high-level designs (HLD), sizing matrices, and accurate BOQs with licensing breakdowns.
• Hands-on PoC Execution: Plan, build, and execute hands-on compute performance testing, hypervisor failover validation, workload migration, and HCI cluster demonstrations for clients.
• Vendor Technical Alignment: Collaborate with OEM teams (VMware, Nutanix, Dell, Cisco, Huawei) for compliant configurations and sizing.

Position Overview

The Senior Pre-Sales Engineer – Compute, Virtualization & HCI serves as the primary technical authority for enterprise server platforms, hypervisor virtualized environments, Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI), and hybrid cloud stacks. This role focuses on compute and virtualization domain depth, executing complex sizing models, authoring compliant RFP responses, and delivering hands-on PoCs.

Key Responsibilities

• Compute & HCI Architecture: Architect enterprise server configurations, rack/blade systems, and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) nodes. Perform host sizing, vCPU-to-pCPU ratios, RAM allocation, and software-defined storage (vSAN) calculations.
• Virtualization & Cloud Sizing: Design enterprise virtualization stacks, micro-segmentation, management clusters, and hybrid cloud integration platforms.
• RFP Technical Authoring: Analyze enterprise compute and virtualization RFPs/RFQs. Author technical proposal narratives, high-level designs (HLD), sizing matrices, and accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) with full software licensing breakdowns.
• Hands-on PoC Execution: Plan, build, and execute hands-on compute performance testing, hypervisor failover validation, workload migration, and HCI cluster demonstrations for clients.
• Vendor Technical Alignment: Collaborate directly with OEM technical teams (VMware, Nutanix, Dell, Cisco, Huawei) to ensure configuration compliance, deal registration accuracy, and optimal sizing.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Technical Sizing Accuracy: 100% technical compliance and zero calculation or licensing errors across compute, hypervisor, and HCI BOQs.
• PoC Win Rate: High conversion rate of technical compute and HCI PoCs into awarded contracts.
• Turnaround Time: On-time delivery of complete technical proposals for enterprise compute tenders.
• Domain Certifications: Maintenance and acquisition of at least one expert/specialist level compute or virtualization certification annually (e.g., VMware VCP/VCAP, Nutanix NCP/NCSE, Dell VxRail Specialist, Huawei).

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.
• Experience: 3+ years of technical experience in enterprise compute and virtualization, with 2+ years in a dedicated Pre-Sales role at a System Integrator.
• Core Technical Mastery: VMware (vSphere, vSAN, Tanzu), Nutanix (AHV, Unified Storage), Dell (PowerEdge, VxRail), Cisco (UCS), and Huawei (FusionServer, FusionCube).
• Arabic language ( speak and write ) is must .
