Job summary

JCCS in Saudi Arabia is seeking an Infrastructure Presales Engineer to design and position enterprise infrastructure solutions that meet customer business and technical requirements. You will support the sales team through the opportunity lifecycle, from requirements gathering to solution design and technical proposals.

This role involves hands-on PoC demonstrations, BOM/BOQ preparation, vendor engagements, and delivering architecture diagrams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years as presales engineer in a system integrator or solution provider.
• Experience in enterprise projects, government tenders, and large IT infrastructure deployments.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand business and technical requirements.
• Design infrastructure solutions including servers, storage, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery, and data center technologies.
• Conduct technical workshops, assessments, and solution presentations.
• Prepare high-level and low-level solution designs.
• Hands-on PoC & Technical Demonstrations: Plan, build, and execute hands-on proof-of-concept environments.
• Develop technical documentation and architecture diagrams.
• Maintain reusable solution templates and design documents.
• Conduct internal knowledge-sharing sessions for sales and engineering teams.
• Support the sales team during customer meetings and presentations.
• Prepare technical proposals, statements of work, and compliance matrices.
• Develop BOMs/BOQs and sizing recommendations.
• Respond to RFPs, RFQs, and tenders.
• Perform technical comparisons and solution positioning against competitors.

The Infrastructure Presales Engineer is responsible for designing and positioning enterprise infrastructure solutions that address customer business and technical requirements. The role supports the sales team throughout the opportunity lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, technical proposals, presentations, demonstrations, BOM/BOQ preparation, and vendor engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Consulting

• Engage with customers to understand business and technical requirements.
• Design infrastructure solutions including servers, storage, virtualization, backup, disaster recovery, and data center technologies.
• Conduct technical workshops, assessments, and solution presentations.
• Prepare high-level and low-level solution designs.
• Hands-on PoC & Technical Demonstrations: Plan, build, and execute hands-on proof-of-concept (PoC) environments, benchmark testing,
• Develop technical documentation and architecture diagrams.
• Maintain reusable solution templates and design documents.
• Conduct internal knowledge-sharing sessions for sales and engineering teams.
• Support the sales team during customer meetings and presentations.
• Prepare technical proposals, statements of work, and compliance matrices.
• Develop BOMs/BOQs and sizing recommendations.
• Respond to RFPs, RFQs, and tenders.
• Perform technical comparisons and solution positioning against competitors.

Infrastructure Technologies

• Design solutions based on:
• Dell Technologies, HPE, Cisco, Lenovo, or equivalent platforms.
• VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, and virtualization technologies.
• SAN/NAS storage platforms.
• Backup and recovery solutions.
• Data center networking solutions.
• High availability and disaster recovery architectures.
• Coordinate with vendors for pricing, solution validation, and technical support.
• Manage technical relationships with strategic technology partners.
• Enhance the partnership with the infrastructure vendor.
• Participate in vendor training and certification programs.

Qualifications & Skills

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of enterprise server, storage, backup, and virtualization technologies.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server platforms.
• Knowledge of VMware vSphere, Linux, Nutanix environments, private cloud and multi-cloud
• Understanding of data center networking concepts.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Ability to perform system sizing and capacity planning.

Education & Experience
