Job summary

AbbVie in Riyadh is seeking a Medical Affairs professional to act as the scientific voice for assigned products and therapeutic areas. You will provide medical/scientific input into strategies, develop external expert relationships, and ensure integration with affiliate business while remaining independent.

The role involves delivering scientific presentations, supporting cross-functional teams, monitoring literature, and contributing to core dossiers.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline is preferred but candidates with an undergraduate degree and demonstrated experience will be considered
• Solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment and the role of Medical Affairs to advance the medical and scientific objectives
• Minimum 2 years in Medical Affairs; experience in solid tumors or diagnostics is required
• Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory

Responsibilities

• Provide medical/scientific input into marketing strategy and key commercial initiatives
• Develop knowledge through attendance at meetings, congresses, and literature reviews
• Provide expert medical/scientific advice for products and related therapeutic areas
• Establish and maintain relationships with External Experts and academic centers
• Deliver scientific presentations and medical education programs to healthcare professionals
• Screen relevant literature and develop summaries for internal use
• Deliver training to sales forces and other departments
• Support clinical research activities and oversight of IIS studies
