Job summary

Hitachi Rail Arabia Limited in Riyadh is seeking a Rolling Stock Maintenance Technician with a strong mechanical background. You will support the Rolling Stock Team Leader in preventive and corrective maintenance across passenger service vehicles, shunting vehicles, and locomotives.

The role requires a diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering and 3+ years in the railway sector, with emphasis on safety, diagnostics, and reliable service delivery.

Qualifications

• Over three years of railway industry experience.
• Strong mechanical mindset and understanding of rolling stock.
• Experience with under-floor wheel lathe is preferred.
• Organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Experience in shunting and operating engineering vehicles is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Rolling Stock Team Leader with preventive and corrective maintenance on rolling stock.
• Conduct routine inspections, replace consumables, and perform minor repairs.
• Perform fault diagnostics and component replacement on site or in depot.
• Follow the Permit to Work process and apply LOTO procedures as needed.
• Carry out shift and emergency duties and wheel turning on the under-floor lathe.
• Ensure maintenance schedules and safe system of work are followed.
• Maintain effective handovers between shifts.
