Job summary

VirtuCruit LLC, in partnership with a leading mining company in Saudi Arabia, seeks a skilled Fire Assayer for the Mining Laboratory & Quality Control function. The role is responsible for fire assay tests and related analytical procedures to determine precious metal content in ore and concentrates.

You will ensure accurate and timely analysis, maintain furnaces and related equipment, follow strict safety and QA/QC protocols, and provide reliable data to support operational decisions and

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or equivalent years of experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on fire assay (gold analysis).
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot furnaces independently.
• Strong practical experience with fusion, cupellation, and weighing.
• Good understanding of flux composition and QA/QC practices.
• Ability to work in shift-based, high workload environment.
• Physically fit for high-temperature conditions.
• Basic English communication (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, health and environmental standards are followed.
• Prepare samples and fluxes per standard procedures.
• Adjust flux formulations based on sample type and behavior.
• Operate and monitor furnaces safely and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on furnaces.
• Identify furnace issues and coordinate with maintenance.
• Maintain sample identification and full traceability.
• Meet turnaround time requirements and follow sample priorities.
• Perform routine QC checks (CRMs, duplicates, blanks).
• Record and report results accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fire assay area.
• Follow all laboratory safety procedures for high-temperature work.
• Mentor and coach local staff to support development.
