Job summary

Parsons is seeking an experienced Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) Lead Engineer to oversee design review, coordination, construction support, testing, and commissioning for a major airport project. You will lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure compliance with ICAO Annex 14, FAA standards, and client requirements.

The role requires extensive AGL expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate with regulators, operators, and contractors to deliver reliable, safe airfield lighting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Aviation Engineering or related discipline.
• Master's degree in Electrical/Airport Systems Engineering is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Airfield Ground Lighting engineering, design review, installation, and commissioning.
• Proven experience on major international airport, airfield, or aviation infrastructure projects.
• Extensive experience with runway/taxiway lighting, AGL control systems, and airfield electrical networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Airfield Ground Lighting engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership to AGL engineers, designers, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
• Establish AGL design review procedures, requirements, and delivery standards.
• Coordinate with airport operators, regulators, and project stakeholders to ensure compliance.
• Review AGL designs, reports, drawings, and contractor submissions.
• Support testing, commissioning, and airport operational readiness activities.
