Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Vocational/technical training is preferred.
• Prior printing shop experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operates offset, letterset, and screen printing machines.
• Reviews client requests to understand scope and parameters.
• Determines quantities for print jobs.
• Matches colours per job request.
• Aligns and configures printing machinery.
• Inspects production samples for quality.
• Maintains inventory of printing supplies.
• Troubleshoots and performs basic repairs.
• Performs routine maintenance on printers.
• Drafts daily production reports.
• Keeps area around machines clean.
• Follows safety and instruction protocols.
• Physically capable of bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of digital printers and current equipment.
• 3+ years related experience preferred.

• Operates various types of printing machines including offset letterset and screen printers
• Reviews client requests to understand scope and parameters of print jobs
• Determines quantities required for print job
• Matches colours for print job per job request
• Aligns and configures machinery
• Inspects random production samples to evaluate quality of printings
• Maintains inventory of supplies needed to operate printing machines
• Troubleshoots issues with printing machine and makes basic repairs
• Performs routine maintenance on printing machines
• Drafts and submits reports for daily production totals
• Maintains a clean area around printing machinery
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate and quickly learn to operate various printing machines and related software.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Physically able to operate printing machines.
• Able to bend or kneel frequently.
• Must be able to lift 25 up to pounds at a time.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of digital printers and able to perform main duties using latest printing equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Or relative experience in a print shop environment.
• Vocational/technical school training preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Previous related experience at least 3+ years preferred.
