Job description

High-volume multifunction printers (Ricoh & Canon) used for daily

departmental printing.

Production printers dedicated for large print runs such as exam papers, booklets,

and student documents.

Heavy-duty scanners for bulk document scanning and archiving.

Finishing equipment, including:

• Spiral and thermal binding machines
• Booklet makers
• Guillotine cutting machines
• Folding machines

Software and Systems

Print management systems such as PaperCut, Ricoh Streamline, or similar

software for:

• Usage tracking
• Access control
• Secure print release

Basic experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) for formatting documents prior to printing.

Familiarity with PDF editing tools (Adobe Acrobat or equivalent) to prepare files before production.

Required Technical Skills

• Operating, adjusting, and calibrating production-level printers for color accuracy, double-sided printing, booklet layout, and print quality.
• Troubleshooting paper jams, misfeeds, alignment issues, and common machine error codes.

Performing routine maintenance including:

• Replacing toner, drums, and developer units
• Cleaning sensors and print heads
• Adjusting trays and paper settings based on print job specifications
• Handling secure and confidential documents following internal security protocols.
• Ensuring proper sorting, packaging, and labeling of exam papers and high-volume batch jobs.
• Ability to work extended hours during peak periods such as midterm and final exams.
