Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) – Mandatory.
  • Current and valid professional nursing license (SCFHS license).
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) Mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience, preferably in critical care settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide continuous monitoring and assessment of the patients.
  • Administer high-risk medications and titrate IV drips as per protocol.
  • Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment including ventilators and cardiac monitors.
  • Implement physician orders and elevate changes in patient condition promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the wider care team.
  • Support and educate family members on care plans and patient conditions.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering advanced nursing care to critically ill patients in the unit. The nurse utilizes strong clinical judgment and expertise in critical care to monitor patients, manage life-support equipment, administer medications, and coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care. The (RN) plays a key role in patient stabilization, recovery, and family support.

Education and Experience:
Educations and Certificates:
  • - Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) – Mandatory.
  • - Current and valid professional nursing license (SCFHS license).
  • - Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) Mandatory.
Experience:
  • - Minimum of 2 years clinical experience, preferably in critical care settings.
Skills and Professional Knowledge:
  • - Advanced clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • - Ability to manage critically ill and hemodynamically unstable patients
  • - Skilled in emergency interventions and life‑saving procedures
  • - Familiarity with protocols, medication administration, and safety standards
  • - Proficient in electronic documentation and use of equipment (e.g., monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators)
  • - Strong communication, teamwork, and decision‑making abilities
Language:
  • - Proficiency in English (written, spoken, and reading) is required; Arabic is considered a plus.
