Job summary

TalentDiamond in Riyadh is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Modern Trade to drive sales growth across Modern Trade accounts and strengthen customer partnerships. You will focus on in-store execution, distribution, visibility, and product availability while coordinating with merchandisers and retailers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years of FMCG or food & beverage sales experience, with preference for Saudi market knowledge.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of relevant sales experience in FMCG or food & beverage.
• Experience in Modern Trade, Key Account Management, or retail sales is preferred.
• Strong customer service and relationship-management skills.
• Good understanding of sales, distribution, inventory, and in-store execution.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with customers and support negotiations on visibility, shelf space, promotions, and commercial agreements.
• Achieve sales volume targets by category within the assigned territory.
• Drive core distribution and support listing of new SKUs.
• Ensure visibility, displays, promotions, and in-store execution are implemented effectively.
• Conduct regular field visits and follow up with stores to ensure product availability.
• Develop and maintain long-term business relationships with key customers.
• Monitor market intelligence: sales trends, competitor activity, new launches, and shopper behavior.
• Ensure on-shelf availability by coordinating with merchandisers and store visits.
• Monitor shelf and warehouse stock, rotation, and short-expiry issues.
• Ensure product handling and in-store conditions meet company standards.
• Follow up on customer collections and financial reconciliation per terms.
• Maintain customer records and sales activity reports.
• Supervise and follow up with merchandisers on journey plans and in-store execution.
• Provide feedback on product placement, secondary displays, checkouts, gondolas, and stock handling.
• Ensure all activities comply with company policies and local regulations.
