Job summary

Fletcher Piccolo Associates (FPA) is seeking an experienced MEP Manager to lead mechanical and electrical design across projects in Saudi Arabia. The role covers concept through IFC, coordinating with architecture and other disciplines, and overseeing BIM coordination and QA/QC processes.

The successful candidate will bring 15+ years in MEP engineering, strong GCC/Saudi experience, and a proven track record in leading teams, client-facing design reviews, and delivering compliant, integrated MEP

• Experience delivering MEP design from Concept through to IFC across commercial, residential and mixed-use developments.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve MEP design packages ensuring code compliance.
• Lead multidisciplinary design coordination including BIM and clash detection.
• Manage and develop MEP engineering teams across Riyadh and Cairo.
• Oversee project programmes, resources and delivery, resolving risks.
• Represent the MEP function in client meetings and design reviews.
• Establish and maintain MEP QA/QC processes and engineering standards.
• Support senior leadership with MEP recruitment and business development.

The Client

Our Client is a leading engineering and design consultancy with operations across Saudi Arabia delivering major commercial, residential and mixed-use developments across the region.

The Role

The MEP Manager will lead and oversee all Mechanical and Electrical engineering design activities across the business, ensuring technically rigorous, coordinated and code-compliant MEP solutions are delivered across all project stages from Concept Design through to IFC.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead MEP design delivery across CD, SD, DD, IFT and IFC stages.
• Review and approve MEP design packages, ensuring technical quality and compliance with relevant Saudi and international codes and standards.
• Lead multidisciplinary design coordination across MEP, Architecture and other engineering disciplines, including BIM and clash detection.
• Manage and develop MEP engineering teams across Riyadh and Cairo, including workload planning, performance and technical development.
• Oversee project programmes, resources and delivery, resolving technical and programme risks across the MEP portfolio.
• Represent the MEP function in client meetings, design reviews and technical discussions.
• Establish and maintain MEP QA/QC processes and engineering standards across the business.
• Support senior leadership with MEP recruitment, team growth, project pursuits and business development.

Requirements

• 15+ years' experience in MEP engineering, ideally within a leading engineering or multidisciplinary design consultancy.
• 5+ years' experience in a senior MEP management or leadership position.
• Strong experience delivering MEP design from Concept through to IFC across commercial, residential and mixed-use developments.
• Minimum 5 years' GCC experience, including 3+ years in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong technical knowledge across Mechanical and Electrical engineering, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection, BMS and ELV.
• Advanced experience with Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP and Navisworks / BIM coordination.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code and KSA authority requirements, with excellent client-facing and team leadership skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Saudi Council of Engineers registration or equivalent professional registration preferred.
