Job summary

Confidential Careers seeks an experienced MEP Engineer to oversee mechanical, electrical and plumbing works across projects in Riyadh. You will coordinate designs, supervise site activities, and ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code, safety and quality standards while managing budgets and schedules.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in MEP Engineering and at least five years of related experience, with familiarity in malls, commercial buildings, mixed-use or large-scale developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in MEP engineering, construction, or project delivery.
• Knowledge of Saudi Building Code and applicable local regulations.
• Experience with BOQ, quantity take-offs, testing & commissioning, and handover.

Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate MEP designs, IFC drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Supervise MEP installation works and coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Manage HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, electrical, and ELV works and resolve site issues.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, support BOQ and material planning, and monitor costs and progress.
• Conduct site inspections and support testing, commissioning, snagging, handover, and closeout.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code, project specs, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Prepare progress reports and ensure all technical documents are complete.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced MEP Engineer to oversee and coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works across projects, ensuring compliance with approved designs, Saudi Building Code, quality standards, safety requirements, budget, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate MEP designs, IFC drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical submittals.
• Supervise MEP installation works and coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Manage HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, electrical, and ELV works and resolve technical issues and site clashes.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, support BOQ and material planning, and monitor project costs and progress.
• Conduct site inspections and support testing, commissioning, snagging, handover, and project closeout.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code, project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Prepare project progress reports and ensure all technical and handover documentation is complete.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in MEP engineering, construction, or project delivery.
• Experience in shopping malls, commercial buildings, mixed-use, or large-scale developments.
• Strong experience in MEP design coordination, site supervision, technical documentation, and contractor management.
• Knowledge of Saudi Building Code and applicable local regulations.
• Experience with BOQ, quantity take-offs, testing & commissioning, and handover.
• Good English communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.
• AutoCAD or relevant MEP software knowledge is preferred.
