Job summary

NSH Gulf Asia – Saudi Arabia is seeking a Planning Engineer – Mechanical to support planning, scheduling, monitoring, and progress control on oil & gas EPC construction projects. You will develop baselines, WBS, and detailed Primavera P6 schedules, track progress, prepare daily to monthly reports, and coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams to ensure schedule compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 5–10 years of planning/scheduling experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, or construction.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Develop baseline schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project timelines.
• Monitor project progress against planned targets and identify delays or deviations.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Project teams to ensure schedule compliance.
• Prepare manpower, material, and equipment planning based on project requirements.
• Track mechanical construction activities including piping, equipment installation, fabrication, erection, testing and commissioning.
• Analyse critical path, schedule slippage, and recovery plans.
• Assist in preparing look-ahead schedules, S-curves, progress measurement and forecasts.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and site teams for progress updates.
• Support project management in schedule recovery and mitigation planning.
