Job summary

Client of Hudson Manpower in Saudi Arabia seeks an experienced Planning Engineer Mechanical to support project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring and reporting for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Refinery projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in mechanical construction, maintenance shutdowns, and turnaround projects, and be able to develop and monitor schedules while coordinating with site engineering, procurement and subcontractor teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of planning experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery or related EPC projects.
• Strong knowledge of planning, scheduling, progress monitoring and reporting.
• Saudi Arabia / GCC experience is preferred and English communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for mechanical construction, maintenance, shutdown and turnaround activities.
• Prepare baseline, look-ahead, recovery schedules and progress updates.
• Monitor progress, identify delays and risks, and propose corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Site, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/QC and HSE teams for timely execution.
• Prepare progress reports and planning dashboards on daily, weekly and monthly cadence.
• Track manpower, equipment, materials and productivity for mechanical activities.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and monitor progress against approved schedules.
• Assist in identifying schedule risks and potential EoT impacts and support meetings with management and clients.

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer Mechanical to support project planning scheduling progress monitoring and reporting for Oil amp Gas Petrochemical and Refinery projects in Saudi Arabia The ideal candidate should have strong experience in mechanical construction maintenance shutdown and turnaround projects with the ability to develop and monitor project schedules and coordinate effectively with site engineering procurement and subcontractor teams

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for mechanical construction maintenance shutdown and turnaround activities
• Prepare baseline schedules look-ahead schedules recovery schedules and progress updates
• Monitor actual project progress against planned schedules and identify delays critical activities and potential risks
• Coordinate with Site Execution Engineering Procurement Construction QA QC and HSE teams to ensure timely project execution
• Prepare daily weekly and monthly progress reports and planning dashboards
• Track manpower equipment materials productivity and resource requirements
• Analyze project performance and provide recommendations for schedule recovery and corrective actions
• Monitor critical path activities and ensure timely completion of project milestones
• Prepare progress measurement and quantity tracking for mechanical activities
• Support preparation of S-curves progress curves histograms and productivity reports
• Coordinate with subcontractors and monitor their progress against approved schedules
• Assist in identifying schedule risks delays and potential extension-of-time impacts
• Participate in project progress meetings and provide accurate planning updates to management and clients
• Ensure planning and reporting activities comply with project requirements and client standards

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience as a Planning Engineer in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or related EPC projects .Strong experience in Mechanical Construction / Maintenance projects .Shutdown & Turnaround planning experience is highly preferred.Relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification .Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting.Experience with planning software such as Primavera P6 is required/preferred.Candidates with Saudi Arabia / GCC experience will be preferred.Good understanding of project execution methodologies and mechanical activities.Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.Good English communication and reporting skills .Candidates must have relevant experience matching the position applied for .

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with experience in Saudi Arabia/GCC Oil & Gas projects , particularly those who have handled mechanical shutdown, turnaround maintenance, and refinery/petrochemical projects , will be highly preferred.
