Job summary

Bouygues Travaux Publics KSA is seeking a Mechanic Foreman to oversee daily mechanical maintenance for plant equipment and coordinate field repairs. You will assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure work is performed safely according to site procedures.

The role requires strong diagnostic abilities for rotating equipment, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and a solid mechanical background. Saudi Arabia-based onsite work in Al Ula is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising foremen or lead technicians in mechanical maintenance.
• Strong diagnostic skills for rotating equipment, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and general mechanical components.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, maintenance checklists, and job instructions.
• Demonstrated leadership and task coordination skills to manage workflow, priorities, and quality of workmanship.
• Working knowledge of safety practices relevant to mechanical maintenance, including lockout/tagout and safe work procedures.
• Saudi Arabia work eligibility and willingness to be based in Al Ula for full‑time onsite responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Assign tasks to technicians and monitor job progress to ensure safety and quality.
• Inspect mechanical systems, diagnose faults, and plan corrective actions for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.

Job Description

The Mechanic foreman will oversee day-to-day mechanical maintenance activities for plant equipment and coordinate shop or field repair work as required. The role includes assigning tasks to technicians, monitoring job progress, and ensuring work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures. The foreman will inspect mechanical systems, diagnose faults, and plan corrective actions for breakdowns and preventive maintenance. The position also supports inventory control by tracking consumables and tools, and coordinating procurement needs with the relevant team. The Mechanic foreman will maintain maintenance records and report performance, issues, and work completion status to plant leadership. The role requires strong coordination with other maintenance disciplines to ensure integrated equipment uptime.

Requirements

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance and supervising maintenance teams at a foreman or similar lead level.
• Strong diagnostic skills for rotating equipment, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and general mechanical components.
• Ability to read technical documents such as equipment manuals, maintenance checklists, and job instructions.
• Demonstrated leadership and task coordination skills to manage workflow, priorities, and quality of workmanship.
• Working knowledge of safety practices relevant to mechanical maintenance, including lockout/tagout and safe work procedures.
• Ability to work in an industrial environment with hands‑on participation and adherence to site rules and permits.
• Suitable trade background in mechanical or related field (e.g., vocational/technical qualification) appropriate for plant maintenance work.
• Saudi Arabia work eligibility and willingness to be based in Al Ula for full‑time onsite responsibilities.
