Job summary

Bouygues Travaux Publics KSA in Alula is seeking an Excavation Foreman to lead day-to-day excavation operations on site, coordinating crews, equipment, and work sequencing to meet project requirements while ensuring compliance with method statements.

The role requires enforcing HSE standards, toolbox talks, reviewing plans, and coordinating with the superintendent and Production to manage excavation limits and progress.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day excavation operations on site and coordinate crews

• Coordinate with the superintendent and production interfaces to follow up on excavation limits

The Excavation Foreman will lead day-to-day excavation operations on site, coordinating crews, equipment, and work sequencing to meet project requirements. He will supervise excavation activities, ensure compliance with approved method statements, and monitor progress. The role includes conducting pre-task safety briefings, enforcing safe work practices, and addressing site hazards promptly. The foreman will coordinate with superintendent and other production interfaces to follow up on excavation limits. He will review daily work outputs, report progress and issues to the Production department, and support corrective actions when deviations occur. Additionally, he will manage basic site organization, equipment readiness coordination, and material handling interface activities as required.

Requirements

• Foreman-level experience in excavation with proven ability to lead field crews and production activities.
• Understanding of excavation methods, sequencing, and basic quality controls related to grades, levels, and excavation limits.
• Ability to enforce HSE requirements, conduct toolbox talks, and manage day-to-day safety compliance on construction sites.
• Proficiency in reading and applying work plans, drawings, and applicable site instructions; familiarity with surveying/levels coordination is a plus.
• Competence in coordinating equipment and manpower to maintain productivity while minimizing rework and downtime.
• Good communication skills in a multicultural work environment, with the ability to provide clear daily updates and escalation of risks.
