Job summary

Taj Dhabi in Riyadh requires a Store Manager to oversee all store, warehouse, and material control activities on our construction projects. You will coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, QA/QC, Engineering, and project teams to ensure timely material availability and accurate control.

The role demands strong leadership, FIFO/FEFO implementation, accurate documentation (GRNs, MRRs), and rigorous stock control with cycles counts, and compliance with Saudi regulations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Warehouse Management, Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in stores, warehouse, material control, or inventory management.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Store Manager / Warehouse Manager / Material Control supervisory role is preferred.
• Previous experience with a Main Contractor, EPC Contractor, or large construction organization is preferred.
• Experience managing stores for large-scale construction.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all store, warehouse, and material control activities.
• Establish and maintain effective systems for material receiving, storage, preservation, issuing, transfer, and dispatch.
• Receive materials, equipment, spare parts, tools, and consumables delivered to the project/site.
• Verify received materials against Purchase Orders (POs), Delivery Notes, Material Requisitions, packing lists, and approved material specifications.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and relevant technical teams for inspection and acceptance of incoming materials.
• Ensure that materials are properly identified, labeled, coded, and recorded upon receipt.
• Check quantities, descriptions, specifications, and physical condition of received materials.
• Report shortages, damages, discrepancies, or incorrect deliveries to Procurement, Logistics, and Project Management.
• Prepare and maintain Goods Received Notes (GRNs), Material Receiving Reports (MRRs), and other required documentation.
• Ensure proper storage and preservation of materials according to manufacturer and project requirements.
• Implement FIFO/FEFO principles where applicable.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records and stock registers.
• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and identify potential shortages or excess inventory.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Project teams to ensure timely availability of required materials.
• Issue materials only against approved Material Requisitions, Store Issue Vouchers (SIVs), Material Issue Requests, or authorized documentation.
• Maintain complete records of material issues, returns, transfers, and consumption.
• Monitor material consumption against project requirements and approved quantities.
• Track materials issued to different work fronts, departments, subcontractors, and project locations.
• Process material returns and ensure returned materials are properly inspected, identified, and recorded.
• Coordinate inter-store and inter-project material transfers as required.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and cycle counts.
• Coordinate and participate in periodic and annual inventory reconciliation.
• Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, shortages, damages, and losses.
• Maintain accurate reconciliation between physical stock and ERP/system inventory records.
• Monitor slow-moving, excess, surplus, obsolete, and damaged materials.
• Prepare reports for management regarding inventory status, material consumption, shortages, excess stock, and aging materials.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, and HSE teams regarding material requirements and issues.
• Ensure materials required for construction activities are available according to the project schedule and look‑ahead requirements.
• Support material planning and forecasting activities.
• Monitor delivery schedules and follow up on pending or critical materials.
• Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and logistics teams regarding material deliveries.
• Ensure proper documentation is maintained for all incoming and outgoing materials.
• Maintain Material Receiving Reports, Stock Reports, Material Issue Vouchers, Transfer Notes, Return Notes, and Inventory Reports.
• Ensure all warehouse/store records are properly filed and traceable.
• Monitor the condition and availability of storage equipment, racks, pallets, lifting equipment, forklifts, and material‑handling equipment.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and organization of all store and warehouse areas.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements for material storage, handling, lifting, stacking, and transportation.
• Ensure hazardous materials and chemicals are stored in designated areas with appropriate controls.
• Monitor fire protection, emergency access, spill prevention, and safety requirements within store areas.
• Conduct regular store inspections and identify unsafe conditions or material storage risks.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, project specifications, and applicable Saudi regulations.
• Supervise and manage Storekeepers, Warehouse Assistants, Material Controllers, and other store personnel.
• Allocate duties, monitor performance, and provide guidance and training to store personnel.
• Maintain appropriate manpower coverage for receiving, issuing, inventory, and dispatch activities.
• Implement improvements to store and inventory management processes.
• Support internal, client, and external inventory audits.
• Prepare required documentation and provide records during audits and inspections.
• Coordinate with Finance/Commercial teams for inventory valuation and reconciliation where applicable.
• Support project closeout by identifying, reconciling, and handing over surplus, unused, and project‑return materials.
• Ensure proper disposal or return of obsolete, damaged, or surplus materials in accordance with company procedures.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the Supply Chain Manager, Logistics Manager, Project Manager, or Operations Manager.
