Job summary

Confidential Company in Riyadh is seeking a seasoned Manual Lathe Machine Technician Mold Maker to join its specialized plastics molding operation. You will handle metal molds for blow molding and injection molding, performing precision machining per engineering drawings and specifications.

The ideal candidate has a diploma in mechanical engineering manufacturing technology and at least five years’ hands-on experience with lathes, milling and grinding equipment, mold assembly, troubleshooting,

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in mechanical engineering manufacturing technology or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Manual Lathe Technician and Mold Maker in plastic manufacturing.
• Experience manufacturing, repairing, modifying, and maintaining metal molds for Blow Molding and Injection Molding applications.
• Strong ability to read/interprete engineering drawings and mold designs.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools and workshop equipment; able to troubleshoot mold issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual lathe machines and perform precision machining per drawings.
• Manufacture, assemble, repair, modify and maintain metal molds for blow molding and injection molding.
• Produce mold components, cores, cavities, inserts and precision parts.
• Inspect molds and components for dimensional accuracy and quality.
• Support production and maintenance to resolve mold-related issues and reduce downtime.
• Maintain workshop safety and equipment, and pursue continuous mold performance improvements.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Technology or a related field
• Proven experience as a Manual Lathe Machine Technician and Mold Maker
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing repairing maintaining and modifying metal molds used in blow molding and injection molding processes
• Strong knowledge of machining operations precision measurements fitting assembly and mold maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings technical specifications and mold designs
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and workshop equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot mold-related issues and perform corrective actions
• Ability to work effectively within a team and perform under pressure

Key Responsibilities

• Operate manual lathe machines and perform precision machining work according to engineering drawings and specifications
• Manufacture assemble repair modify and maintain metal molds for blow molding and injection molding applications
• Produce and machine mold components inserts cores cavities and other precision parts as required
• Inspect molds and components to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards are met
• Support production and maintenance teams in resolving mold-related issues and minimizing downtime

Candidate Profile – Manual Lathe Machine Technician & Mold Maker

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications and competencies:

• Diploma or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Tool & Die Making, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Manual Lathe Machine Technician and Mold Maker in plastic manufacturing industries.
• Proven experience in manufacturing, repairing, modifying, and maintaining metal molds for Blow Molding and Injection Molding applications.
• Strong hands-on experience in operating manual lathe machines, milling machines, grinding machines, and other workshop equipment.
• Ability to manufacture mold components, cores, cavities, inserts, guide pins, bushings, and precision mechanical parts.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, mold designs, tolerances, and technical specifications.
• Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Dial Indicators, and Height Gauges.
• Good understanding of mold assembly, fitting, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to identify mold defects and implement corrective actions to improve mold performance and product quality.
• Experience in plastic packaging, bottles, containers, jerry cans, or similar plastic products is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
