Role Description
The Manager, ITC is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the ITC strategy and digital roadmap across all KSA operations. The role ensures that ITC services, systems and infrastructure effectively support corporate, project and field-based users across all locations, while operating in accordance with Company ITC standards and applicable KSA regulatory and cybersecurity requirements. The role is key to minimizing technology risk, ensuring operational readiness and enabling safe, secure and efficient project delivery.
The role requires regular travel and on-site presence at field and operational locations across KSA to support business operations, assess technology requirements and ensure effective ITC service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
ICT Strategy and Digital Roadmap
- Develop and execute the ITC strategy and digital roadmap to support business mobilization, operational readiness and long-term organizational objectives.
- Establish and promote an IT-as-a-Service culture across the organization, ensuring a customer-focused, responsive and value-driven approach to technology service delivery for all users
Establish Infrastructure
- Lead the selection, implementation and integration of fit-for-purpose business and operational systems, ensuring effective integration, interoperability and governance across ITC and operational technology (OT) environments
- Establish and manage secure, reliable, scalable and robust ITC infrastructure
- Develop and manage connectivity and integration with cloud services and platforms
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery systems to support data protection and business continuity
Budgeting and Projects
- Produce and manage ITC projects, budgets, procurement, technology vendors and service providers to achieve timely delivery, strong service performance and commercial value within approved budget
ITC Governance
- Establish and maintain appropriate cybersecurity, data governance, business continuity and ITC risk controls.
- Ensure compliance with applicable KSA regulatory, cybersecurity, data protection, Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and localization requirements
Partnerships
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with KSA leadership and business functions to understand, prioritize and deliver technology requirements
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with ITC vendors, suppliers and strategic technology partners, ensuring performance, service quality and commercial value
Identify Technology Gaps
- Proactively anticipate technology requirements, identify capability and infrastructure gaps, and implement solutions to mitigate risks and support business growth
- Continuously assess emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for digital transformation and operational improvement
Experience
- A minimum of 15-20 years' demonstrated experience implementing and managing ITC systems in a mining/exploration business of similar size and complexity
- Proven experience leading, mentoring and managing ITC team members in an operational environment
- Experience working with internal and external auditors providing audit data in a timely manner
- Demonstrated experience with KSA ITC regulations and compliance requirements is essential
- Experience working with external suppliers and multidisciplinary operational teams

Functional & Technical Skills
- Advanced technical knowledge and hands-on experience in the installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, and fault-finding of servers, network infrastructure, switches, routers, wireless systems, firewalls, end-user computing equipment, peripherals, and cloud-based IT systems.
- Strong practical capability for hands on installation, termination, testing, labelling, and fault diagnosis of network and communications cabling, including copper and fibre-optic cabling, patch panels, network outlets, equipment racks, and associated infrastructure.
- Proven ability to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot IT and communications cabling in challenging and harsh environmental conditions, including remote locations, high-temperature environments, dusty or confined areas, and operational sites where infrastructure must remain reliable under demanding conditions.
- Advanced knowledge of backup, data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity systems, including backup configuration and monitoring, data recovery, system restoration, recovery testing, and troubleshooting of backup failures to ensure critical services and information can be restored effectively.
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and fault-isolation skills across hardware, operating systems, networks, connectivity, cabling, servers, cloud services, and end-user systems, with the ability to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and determine appropriate escalation pathways.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure and connectivity, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, routing, switching, wireless networks, network security, remote access, and structured cabling principles.
- Demonstrated ability to perform hardware installation, equipment commissioning, system configuration, upgrades, preventative maintenance, and technical fault resolution, ensuring IT infrastructure operates securely, reliably, and within required service levels.
- Strong knowledge of IT security and access management, including user accounts, permissions, authentication, endpoint security, secure configuration, credential management, patching, vulnerability mitigation, and compliance with organisational security policies and governance requirements.
- Strong training, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to provide technical support, user training, operational guidance, and clear technical advice to personnel with varying levels of IT knowledge.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to identifying recurring technical issues, improving infrastructure reliability, optimising ITC systems and processes, and implementing preventative solutions to improve service delivery.
- Ability to work effectively in field, remote, industrial, and operational environments, including working around physical infrastructure and equipment while following relevant safety, security, access, and environmental requirements.
- Strong documentation and technical record-keeping skills, including maintaining network diagrams, cable schedules, rack layouts, configuration records, asset registers, system documentation, maintenance records, credentials, access information, and change records in accordance with security and governance requirements.
- Ability to manage competing technical priorities, respond effectively to critical infrastructure outages and service interruptions, and restore ITC services within required operational timeframes.
- Strong commitment to preventative maintenance, system availability, infrastructure resilience, cyber security, safety, and continuous improvement, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical teams, contractors, vendors, and operational stakeholders.
Work Location & Travel
- The role is primarily site-based, operating on a roster to support field activities across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
- The position requires regular travel and, at times, extended periods at remote exploration and project sites
- Regular presence at the Company’s office in Jeddah, as well as other operational hubs, is required to support coordination and ICT activities.
- Flexibility is essential to transition between field and office environments in response to operational and business requirements
