Job summary

The Ritz-Carlton Diriyah in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, seeks an accomplished Director of Engineering to lead stewardship, protection and performance of the property’s physical assets, ensuring a seamless environment for extraordinary guest experiences.

You will oversee all engineering, maintenance, facilities management and life-safety systems, drive preventative maintenance, capital projects, energy efficiency and regulatory compliance, while building a high‑performing team.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in luxury hotels or large-scale hospitality facilities.
• Strong technical expertise in engineering operations, maintenance, and asset lifecycle.
• Experience managing budgets and major capital projects.
• Ability to lead safety and regulatory compliance across a premium property.

Responsibilities

• Lead all engineering and maintenance operations across the property.
• Develop and execute an engineering strategy aligned with brand standards.
• Manage budgets, capex projects and asset protection plans.
• Oversee preventative maintenance for building systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing.
• Champion sustainability and energy conservation while preserving guest experience.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and life-safety requirements.
• Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team.
• Collaborate with owners, contractors, consultants and regional leaders on projects.
