Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Director of Engineering in Saudi Arabia to lead the Engineering Department, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all hotel facilities and systems in Tabuk Province.

You will manage budgets, coordinate projects, develop preventive maintenance programs, and lead a team to meet high technical standards while complying with local regulations and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience leading hotel Engineering or facilities teams.
• Strong budget and preventive maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily engineering operations.
• Ensure reliable operation of all hotel facilities and systems.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Oversee MEP systems: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and local rules.
• Monitor energy, water, and utility use and drive efficiency.
• Prepare and manage annual budgeting and CAPEX requests.
• Plan engineering projects, renovations and major repairs.
• Coordinate with other departments to minimize guest disruption.
• Lead and develop engineering staff; supervise contractors and vendors.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and maintenance issues.
• Maintain records of maintenance, inspections, and projects.
• Identify risks and ensure works meet company policies and Saudi regulations.
• Promote safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
