Job summary

WSP is seeking a highly seasoned ITM Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead ITS/ITMS on a major highways project in Saudi Arabia. You will act as the primary technical authority for traffic management systems and oversee designs, testing and commissioning across disciplines.

Ideal candidates will have 15+ years in ITS, a relevant engineering degree, and strong knowledge of AASHTO, NTCIP, IEC and ISO standards, with proven delivery on large-scale infrastructure programs and excellent stakeholder

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in ITS, traffic management systems or smart mobility infra.
• Proven involvement in major roads and highways projects.
• Experience in construction supervision, testing, commissioning and readiness.
• Knowledge of international standards (AASHTO, NTCIP, IEC, ISO) and Saudi regs.
• Excellent stakeholder management and technical reporting skills.
• Chartered status or professional registration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as lead technical authority for ITS components and system integration.
• Review contractor submissions: designs, shop drawings, method statements and tests.
• Supervise installation, integration, testing, FAT, SAT and commissioning.
• Coordinate with client, operations, utilities, contractors and suppliers.
• Lead FAT/SAT and handover activities; identify and mitigate risks.
• Prepare inspection records, progress reports and compliance assessments.
